Summer Refresh Wreath, Summertime Outdoor Makeovers...

It's feeling like summertime in our area, so I've been busy outside lately getting things ready for the summer season....

I spruced up my spring wreath and turned it into a summer wreath by making a new bow...I took out the yellow and pink flowers, and added some summer flowers....

I made over this watering can using paint, old calendar pages, mod podge and Rustoleum clear matte sealant spray paint...

This is how it looked in the fall, I loved it black, but the paint was chipping and it was needing to be preserved, so I gave it a more cheerful look for summertime...

I also put a few flowers into grapevine wreath that's on my front door...

I gave some old pots a refresh with some paint that I had on hand...

I also spruced up my little fairy garden and made this little water feature pond... from a mirror that my husband was gonna toss out, because it had a broken handle....

Here are a few before pics and the painting process....

We also got some new flowers for our front porch...

and for the back porch....

Our younger son and his wife made us this hanging gourd...we think it's beautiful...they grew the gourd last year in their yard and dried it and then painted it this year. So very creative!

There are signs that summertime is here out in our yard and woods....

Cactus have bloomed...

And tiny blackberries have began growing just beyond the bird bath near the woods, as their flowers fade...a sure sign that summer is approaching...

I'm getting ready for some back porch sittin'..... how about you?

Well, that's what I've been up to lately...

Until next time....
Stay creative and have a beautiful day!

Spring and Summer Decorating in The Sitting Room/Tiny Living Room

I've got all the Easter Decorations in the sitting room put away and have been decorating in there for spring and summertime.....here's how things are looking in there right now....

I love the English Garden Country Vintage Cottage style of decorating.... and I've used elements of nature for this spring....this look can take me right on into summertime....

Most of what I have has been found at yard sales or thrifted....I did make the moss balls using some old tennis balls and bag of moss from Wal-Mart....

I printed the robin bird graphic online....I've had it several years, so I can't remember where it came from.....

I love using seed packets in my decor this time of year, a few of them are older....

The framed bunny print is also one I printed online.....

George has been helping me decorate, and he's ready for his nap!

Until next time...
Stay creative and have a beautiful day!
