November Decorating & Touches of Thanksgiving 2024

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner!  I've changed up things a little bit since November rolled over on the calendar... and I've added a few changes around here for Thanksgiving too....Here's how things are looking this year.....

Lately it's been cooler in the mornings.... and I've been so happy to be able to turn on the electric fireplace in the sitting room for a little while... though the a/c does get turned on later in the day still, lol! I'll take what I can get...I know the cooler weather will be here to stay soon... I  can hardly wait to wear some of my cozy sweaters!

I made the centerpiece myself with things I already had. I started with a small cream colored linen table runner, I simply laid everything down on the center of it, starting with a sugared fruit swag and a couple of small matching candle ring wreaths on each side of the swag, I put the turkey in the center, added in two silver candle holders and cream colored taper candles, and lastly, added some ribbon and bows and some pinecones. I might still add in a few sprigs of faux boxwood underneath the pinecones in the front, but come to think of it,  I don't think I can get to them at the moment, because we have been cleaning out our storage building and things are blocking my greenery storage totes, at the moment....anyway, I love how this turned out, and it was so easy.

Our vintage Lefton Pilgrim Couple made their yearly appearance near the dining room table...I decided to showcase the couple on this flat bottomed vintage cranberry dish, (it's an extra one that I have), I think the details on it are so pretty....I love collecting glass pieces that are versatile...I have used this glass dish before as a jewelry holder on my dresser too!

Our little iron garden stand that's in our kitchen, was a $10 indoor flea market find that I picked up a few years ago, I remember wanting it because of the charming ironwork that reminded me of our visits to New Orleans, Savanah Georgia and Mobile Alabama .... it got a different look for Thanksgiving.... after we accidentally found our pretty fall looking bell (it was in with our bell collection) out in our storage building. We found it when we were cleaning out some things out there....I felt inspired when I saw it and felt like it would look pretty with our Thanksgiving decor. I like how it looks next to the antique Thanksgiving Postcard and vintage brown transferware bread plate....

A few more antique Thanksgiving Postcards....

Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours and God Bless you!

Until next time...stay creative....
and have a beautiful day!
